Noticeboard

Please note that on Monday 28 May 2018 the surgery will be be closed for Bank Holiday.  Should you require access to a GP during this time telephone the usual surgery number and you will be put through to the GP collaborative team.  Or call 111.

Please only use 999 in a medical emergency.

Care Navigation - coming soon!

Over the coming months you will notice your Receptionist asking you for a brief outline of your problem when you call to make an appointment, it’s not because they are nosey!  This new way of working is about offering you more choice and enabling you to see other Specialists outside the practice too.  This option will often be quicker and you may not need to see the GP each time.  The choice is always yours though and you will never be refused the option to book a GP appointment! For more information click here

Disease Prevention

Infection Control

We are keen to ensure our infection control precautions underpin routine safe practice. These precautions are in place in order to protect both staff and patients from infection. They are carried out with all patients, regardless of perceived or known infection risk factors, these include:
  • Hand washing and drying
  • Protective clothing, e.g. gloves, aprons, goggles.
  • Use of alcohol sprays/gels
  • Single use equipment and instruments
  • Protection of open wounds
  • Safe disposal of clinical waste and "sharps" (needles, scalpel blades)
  • Prevention of sharp injury (e.g. needlestick)
  • Regular environmental cleaning
If you would like to know further details please feel free to ask the clinician involved in your care.
